One line

Clogwork is a factory-automation game where everything on the belt is a real object with a size.

Short description

CLOGWORK is a factory-automation game where you turn random pieces into final shapes. Build conveyor belts, glue, cut and rotate parts, wire logic signals, and send the finished shape to the hub to fulfil ever-changing orders.

Everything on the belt is a real object with a width, height and shape. A slab three cells wide needs three lanes running side by side or it does not move. Players glue, cut, rotate, push and route raw pieces into the exact figures requested by the Hub Core. Nothing vanishes when a belt is removed, so almost-right factories become physical jams that have to be understood and rebuilt.

Scoring rewards both throughput and how each figure was made. Keeping a mined piece whole is worth more than cutting it into cells and gluing it back together. Readers, counters, combinators and gates let players filter by colour, size or cell count and automate their own solution.

Key features

  • Physical cargo. Every piece has a real width, height and shape.
  • Multi-lane routing. Wide pieces genuinely need parallel belts.
  • A hands-on toolkit. Glue, cut, rotate, push and route pieces into figures.
  • Persistent mistakes. Removing a belt does not erase the cargo on it.
  • Player-built logic. Read, filter and control by colour, size or cell count.
  • Two ways to improve. Raise throughput or build each figure more efficiently.

About OddSprout Games

OddSprout Games is a one-person independent game studio. Clogwork is its current game: a factory builder about physical pieces, spatial routing and the jams created by getting a design almost right.

Clogwork remains in active development. Some graphics, sounds and music are placeholders and are being replaced as development continues. Generative AI has been used for placeholder art; some placeholder art remains.
